Elisabeth and Me has relocated to South Bank, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia to Study for Masters in IT for a year. We’ve been here for quite a few months already and live in a nice apartment at the 7th floor of River Plaza together with Desmond (Singapore), Alana (Tasmania, Australia) and Kelvin (Zimbabwe) and Usually Desmonds girlfriend Monica (Hong-Kong).
We both study for our Masters Degrees at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and will hopefully be Masters of IT june 2006

New Homepage Again

ay| 2005/09/15 16:50

I’ve made a quite a few homepages during my life. All new and shiny but with little content.
Here is a new atempt, with wordpress. This is the first time I’ve used something I haven’t made from scratch by myself and ported the postings from all the old sites I’ve made since early 1998. I got the content from the excellent Internet Archive site

Tagclean

Tagclean is a cute little utility to clean up you ogg and mp3collections. It’s a total rewrite of mp3clean I wrote a few years ago. Take a look at the project page.

CVS Tricks

ay| 2002/03/05 12:00

I put everything the full site in cvs. I found something I’ve been looking for for ages. I way to update your site when you do a cvs commit

cvs co CVSROOT
$EDITOR loginfo

Add something like:

^www.ytterdal.net (date; cat; (sleep 2; cd /home/ay/www.ytterdal.net;cvs -q update -d) &) >> $CVSROOT/CVSROOT/updatelog 2>&1

Where ^www.ytterdal.net is a regexp of the module in question and the rest is just a small shellscript to run update
And:

cvs commit

Now do a fresh checkout of the webmodule and your site will be updated when you do a commit.
